“Twenty
years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than
by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
Ever since I was a kid, just going around the ‘next
bend’ on my bicycle, I have always loved the adventure of travel – the unknown,
something different, something new. And I feel the same way today… even though
now the ‘next bend’ may be on another continent. I have been extremely lucky to
continuously feed my passion for travel. Many out there share my passion while
others do not. But, why do I love it so
much?
I love to explore nature and being outside. I love
to hike, ride horses, outbound, and other activities like that. The special
one, I visited Leuwi Lieuk, Bogor, Jawa Barat with my friends and this trip
using a motorcycle from Bekasi to Bogor.
This is a picture of Leuwi Lieuk.
Leuwi Lieuk is the last “Curug” (Curug is like a
waterfall); I visited after Leuwi Hejo, although in one area with Curug barong
and Leuwi Hejo. For the information, Curug Barong-Leuwi Hejo-Leuwi Cepet-Leuwi
Lieuk is in one area and Leuwi Lieuk in the top.
This is a picture of Leuwi Hejo.
Unlike Leuwi Hejo, which is located very close,
Leuwi Lieuk is further and need to climb; skirting the hill about 40 minutes,
but the length of time depends on our physical condition. Before getting to
Leuwi Lieuk, we will meet with Curug Cepeut first. If you want to go directly
to Lieuk, we can penetrate through Curug Cepeut with risk our luggage wet or by
continuing the climb up the hill which is steeper with the risk of slipping and
the roads are narrow only be passed by one person.
Throughout the climb up the hill, we can enjoying the natural beauty from there and scorching sun.
Until we are also in Leuwi Lieuk how beautiful they
are full of green and lush, clean water and cliffs that can be used to jump
from the top. When we got there, we changed the clothes to swim, take a photos or
just sitting around it.
Although having to walk down the hill which is quite
draining, but instead feels good and makes the adventure becomes more exciting.
My friends were also enjoyed visiting this.
Finally, I love this so much also recommended you to
visit there. It’s like a Green Canyon in Indonesia, and you will not regret to
go there. If you are the same hobby with me of course you want to visit it. At
the end, Maniparna Sengupta Majumder said that “The
quintessence of hobby is recreation and enjoying one’s own self through a
creative outlet. It can be a great source of stress relief.”
Thank
you very much.
